Thankful for a 20 Month Old.

Totally cliche, but I'm thankful for time with my family.  We attempted some Christmas card photos yesterday.  We ran into a few issues.

1. Super snotty Ellie.
2. Super windy day, meaning Ellie wore a hoodie most of the time.
3. Cold day, meaning Ellie was uncooperative.

At least it was good for a laugh.

I hope you're all enjoying a hurricane-free weekend.

Aw, look at us!

Just ignore the child trying to escape.

Get me outta here!

As far as today's list of "little things" for which I am thankful...
Electricity.
Pinterest.
A child who is SLEEPING IN on the one day of the year I extra-expected her to wake up early.

That child is 20 months old today.  I may have forgotten about that milestone, but she also moves into the "toddler room" at church at 20 months, which is a big step.  We might even switch her today.  Ellie continues to astound us with her personality, her ability to throw food with a big smile, her love of dressing her stuffed animals (and parents) in hats (-at, -at, -at!) and her complete adoration of apples.  She still calls any sort of roundish fruit an apple, including pumpkins and grapefruits.  Don't dare suggest she is wrong.

Ellie, we love you, even when you're teething.  And I hope that tooth hurries so we can see your sunny self again soon!
and
 then, she {snapped}

  1. Love the striped hat! I've been known to wear warm fuzzy hats all day long, so I can appreciate Ellie's love of them.

  2. She really has the best personality, doesn't she? How did she like the toddler room.
