Some recent Ellie-isms.
At Barnes and Noble at the Lego table, as she stacked her blocks: "Stack, stack. Yay! Good job, Ellie!" And if I waited too long or lacked appropriate enthusiasm in my response? "Clap!"
She got out the broom and began to sweep the kitchen, while repeating, "No throwing. No throwing." I wonder if she was cleaning up something she didn't want me to see.
Somehow, she decided hippos are strong. Now every time she sees a picture of a hippo, she flexes and yells "Stronger!"
She recited almost all of "Are You a Cow?" at the bookstore. She read it to a young woman shopping with her younger brother.
Ellie has been singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" with a few edits. My favorite recent version was "Head, shoulders, cheeks, tummy!"
And that, my friends, is all I've got today.
