Secondly, a story from September that was worth saving for this month.
Ellie's class counts every day. Each little student gets to hold the pointer and count the calendar. I love that they practice counting and number recognition and calendar skills this way.
But Ellie won't count.
Ellie can rote count to five pretty consistently in English and Spanish, so I've been on her case about counting at school.

I even caught Ellie helping her toy bunny counting in Spanglish with her Hello Kitty calendar.
I took a video of Ellie counting and tattled on her to her teacher for being a big faker.
Her teacher requested Ellie watch the video with her. Ellie snuggled onto her teacher's lap and pushed the button on Mommy's phone. And saw the video.
Ellie got a total and complete "deer in the headlights" look, dove off her teachers' lap, and tried to get lost in a sea of second graders.
You're busted, kid.
You better start one-two-three-ing and uno-dos-tres-ing pretty soon!

Hahaha! Love that she got busted!! Maybe now she'll start doing it in school! Love the pic of her in her backpack. :-)
