A New Backyard and Ellie Photos.

First of all, let me say that my prayers are with Oklahoma.  I don't have any great words today, but I loved this post from my friend Lexi.  Today's post is light and fluffy, if that's what you need.  If you're not in the mood for light and fluffy, that's okay too.

This weekend, Matt completed a new garden in our backyard.  After pinning every single wine crate idea for gardens, we settled on a plan, and were lucky enough to score a grand total of four wine crates for $32, all within a mile of home.

Here's the finished product.  Matt gets all the credit.

The finished backyard planter.  We have another, single crate that is acting as our herb garden.

The weather has been up and down, and despite a rainy weekend, we managed to get out a little.  Ellie has been enjoying her water table, and both the kids and the grown ups in the neighborhood have been happy for sunny days when everyone hangs out together in the common courtyard.

Memorial Day weekend is coming.

She has the BEST lashes.
I hope you and your family are having a safe and warm start to the summer season.  We have exactly one more month of school, so we're still hard at work!
