Which is weird, because winter itself didn't feature much of the white stuff.
We'd planned to spend a few days hiking not far out of town, although we had to adjust our planned routes due to road closures.

After arriving on Sunday, we spent Monday morning hiking on a trail labeled "Backcountry." The trail was covered in nine inches of snow, and we didn't have Ellie's snowsuit, so we layered her up in lots of clothes and loaded her up in the backpack.

Following that three mile trek, we stopped by a winery.
This morning featured slightly less snowy trails, and a slightly less agreeable Ellie. She liked the first half, but did not enjoy the forced hat-and-mitten-wearing.
Spring Break is still underway, so be on the lookout for more posts and photos in the coming days before I head back to work for the last quarter of the school year!
