I've been training for a marathon.
I've been training amazingly hard.
I run at five o'clock in the morning.
The marathon is Sunday, which is the same day we might have a little visitor called "Hurricane Sandy," also known as "Frankenstorm."
The hurricane isn't supposed to arrive until the end of Sunday, which means race day will only feature possible rain and wind.
I woke up to this weather report.
This post is not about Down syndrome. I have a post about Down syndrome and running here. Today's post is simply me freaking out. I do not want to run in a hurricane. I want school to go as planned next week, because I'm excited about the upcoming lessons and our Halloween parade.
Since I'm just whining, I'll send you to a few of my favorite posts about Down syndrome written by other, less-selfishly-weather-focused bloggers.
From Pudge and Biggs, "Time for New Lenses."
From John Franklin Stevens, "An Open Letter to Ann Coulter."
From Confessions of the Chromosomally Enhanced, "A First Hand Perspective."
You might want to print those posts out, ya know, to read during a hurricane if you lose power...
