Celebrating the Weekend With a {Giveaway}

This week seemed too long.  Sunny days make sitting in class tough for teachers, not just students.  Remember those days as a student when summer seemed just around the corner?  No one wanted to do work; and extra-long recess seemed like a better idea than working on basic multiplication facts.  I never realized that my teachers were anxiously awaiting the last day of school, too.

Today, as a sign of the end of the school year behavior, I witnessed two fourth grade boys yelling at each other over a "rounding numbers" basketball game online.  They got worked up just like on the playground playing real basketball, so I'm choosing to be happy with their passion for math.  I found the game through my friend Holly, who is an amazing math teacher.  She is super-creative as an educator, and she also designs awesome jewelry.

(Earrings.)

She has a shop over at Scene Not Herd and her stuff is unique and beautiful - jewelry that gets compliments but isn't crazy or too loud.  The designs also feature quotes, hand-stamped initials, and generally beautiful work.  I recently stumbled across her shop, and she agreed to give one blog reader a freebie - The sweet and simple necklace. These items make great bridesmaids gifts, birthday gifts, and (in my opinion) end-of-year teacher gifts.

I'll pick the reader using random.org on May 19.

Here's how to participate.  You can do, one, two, or three of the things below and leave a comment telling me that you did in the comments section of this blog.  Comments on Facebook are appreciated, but don't result in new bling.

(E is for Ellie.)

1. Head over to the shop and tell me which item you want.  Personally, I want this one!  (While you're there, add Scene Not Herd to your favorites!)
2. "Like" Little Miss Stubborn on Facebook.  Then, leave a comment telling me that you did.
3. Become a blog follower.  Then, leave a comment letting me know that you did.

Happy shopping, and happy weekend!
